Turtlewings collaborating with Centrum Talen animatie | Centre Animation Langues on April 23rd during their annual Talenfeest | Fête des Langues 2010. During this three day event nearly 2000 children inhabit the area around the Royal Palace. We had a booth in the French Parliment building on Friday, where we played with nearly 400 elementary age children. Our focus was on playing with English and learning the words FAST and SLOW, by dropping objects and creating parachutes.
The second half of Turtlewings was conducting workshops in the Palais des Académies. The workshop was creating a stop animation film from a familiar fairy tale, “Princess and the Pea”, using reclaimed materials. Each class of 15 students created one film in 4 scenes. You can see the results below.
